The highest of them all; Mount Everest / Sagarmatha / Chomolungma with its 8,848 metres above sea level. Flying in on a clear day, it feels like you can see mountaineers reaching for the summit.
 
Sourrounded by massive mountains of the Himalayas, Everest appears inviting, with it's nicely triangular shaped rock. It is not the most dangerous mountain to make an expedition to, but the altitude sickness, avalanches and unpredictable  weather put people at risk. 'The mountain gives and the mountain takes', as the nepali people said. It is almost like a fairytale feeling, seeing the highest point of Earth.
